The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent Graduate to join our busy and growing Audit team with exposure to audit, accounting and tax. This is a permanent opportunity and will provide a foot in the door into an exciting career in audit.
Working within a fast-paced team environment you will work with a diverse range of clients across a large range of industries.
You will have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of accounting advice, perform audit testing and provide tax support.
Your role as a Graduate/Junior Auditor will see you working on multiple engagements to ensure professional and timely completion of audit assignments. You will work closely with the Partners and Managers of our firm and receive personal guidance to allow you to grow and develop in your role.
The role
Working within a fast-paced team environment you will work with a diverse range of clients both in our office and off-site. Responsibilities will include assisting in the completion of interim and final audits by:
- Identifying and gathering required information
- Assisting in the preparation of all financial statements to review stage
- Carrying out audit testing to help assess clients’ internal controls
You will also be involved in the accounting, taxation and subsequent financial reporting.
Your experience and attributes
The ideal candidate will be a team player with a tertiary qualification in Accounting. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, well developed interpersonal skills and solid analytical abilities. To be successful you must have excellent time management and organizational skills and a confident manner with the ability to work autonomously. You will be an inquisitive critical thinker to whom professional skepticism comes naturally.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel is essential.
As you will be required to travel to various clients a driver’s license and/or ownership of a car is preferred.
