As 2021 draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our amazing and inspiring clients during another challenging year which we’ve overcome together. In lieu of our Annual Melbourne Cup Event Charity Donation, which we cancelled as a safety precaution, this year we have made a substantial contribution to domestic violence support services.
The impact of COVID-19 has been devastating and continues to be felt across the globe. Our sincere thoughts remain with everyone impacted, front line workers, emergency services, relief organisations, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to protect our communities.
On behalf of Accru Felsers, we wish to express our gratitude for the professionalism and resourcefulness towards relief efforts, thanks in large part to the prompt assessment and rapid response and coordination of support services which have been very well received.
Sadly one unfortunate outcome of the consequences of this pandemic has been the increase in domestic violence in our community and we and the rest of the team have made a significant contribution to this worthy cause.
In recognition of the challenges facing our communities, our donation to The Haven Nepean Women’s Shelter will assist in offering a safe haven, protection and empowerment for women and their children escaping domestic violence.
We have made this donation instead of our gifts and we have complemented this donation with the figure we would normally have contributed from our fundraising activities at our annual Melbourne Cup Event.
