In the face of a rapidly changing global market, Australia and China have developed a complex and interconnected economic partnership. China is a key strategic partner for Australia, with the two nations having a diplomatic relationship for more than 50 years. Accru Felsers maintains a strong focus on Asia as a region of growth and has been an active member of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) for over 10 years.
In collaboration with the ACBC, Accru Felsers Financial Planning (AFFP) has hosted seminars to discuss and examine the evolving global landscape and its impact on both nations.
AFFP and ACBC brought together an expert panel, including Greg Newbury (AFFP), Edna Stankard from MA Financial Group, and Angela Ashton from Evergreen Consultants. The discussion focused on the challenges of a global economy recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, including inflationary pressures, rising interest rates, and slowing growth. The panelists explored critical questions, such as: how are China and Australia positioned to navigate these challenges? Can China once again serve as a global growth driver, as it did after the 2008-2009 US recession?
